We are pleased to welcome Rita, a PhD student from the National Institute of Oceanography and Applied Geophysics in Trieste, Italy. She will be joining our group for an internship and will stay with us until April 2026. Her research focuses on characterizing the structure and metabolic potential of microbial communities in the Ross Sea (Antarctica) through bioinformatic analyses.
