The project is led by Dr. Eduard Fadeev and funded by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF).
The project aims to expand our understanding of the production of extracellular vesicles by marine bacteria and answer fundamental questions such as: what factors influence the production of these vesicles? Do these factors also affect the type of vesicles produced? What functions do bacterial vesicles have in the marine ecosystem?
This project was awarded the Merit Award in the Austrian Science Fund ASTRA programme.
